Cultural intelligence between India and the Nordics

Turn cultural differences into stronger collaboration, trust & better results.

NordicMantra runs focused workshops for Indian and Nordic professionals working together in daily team, client, or outsourced delivery set-ups. Indian and Nordic teams, whether collaborating onsite or remotely, often share the same goals, but not always the same workplace assumptions.

These cultural gaps are visible in everyday work, but rarely addressed in a focused way.

Yet bringing the two closer can make collaboration stronger, trust deeper, and results better.

What makes it different

This is not surface-level etiquette training. It connects education, family values, hierarchy, and social systems to the way people think, communicate, and work.

01

Decode assumptions

Understand where behaviours come from before judging them.

02

Reduce friction

Spot invisible misunderstandings early in mixed teams.

03

Lead better

Build credibility across different expectations of trust and authority.

04

Create results

Turn cultural difference into a practical team advantage.

The same workplace behaviour can signal very different things across Indian and Nordic contexts. NordicMantra helps both sides understand the logic behind those signals.

Approach

A two-way bridge, not a one-sided orientation.

The problem

  • Silence in meetings may be read as disengagement or thoughtfulness.
  • Low hierarchy can feel empowering to one person and unclear to another.
  • Direct feedback can land as honesty, coldness, or pressure.
  • Visible effort and adaptive problem-solving may be misread across cultures.

The shift

  • Move beyond etiquette and generic dos and don'ts.
  • Link workplace patterns to deeper societal foundations.
  • Help Indians and Nordics understand each other's logic, not just habits.
  • Create better collaboration, stronger leadership, and faster integration.

About the founder

Pushpendra Singh Putrival

Founder

pushpendra.sp@nordicmantra.net

NordicMantra is grounded in lived experience across India and Denmark, and in a deep understanding of how social systems shape behaviour, communication, leadership, and trust at work.

"I have lived 30 years in India and the last 20 years in Denmark. Over that time, I have worked extensively in corporate environments across both countries, including organizations such as Tata Group, APL, Maersk, and Nordea. This experience has given me first-hand insight into how cultural gaps can make simple things unnecessarily complex, and how the right context can turn those gaps into practical value for professionals, teams, and organizations."
